New York´s Shopping Streets

Fifth Avenue is probably the most iconic shopping street on earth. Located in the middle of Manhattan Fifth Avenue is a symbol of expensive shops and exclusive stores. The legendary street is the epicenter of elegance shopping. Here you can find all the world-famous designer names and top brands. With a little luck you can even see some celebrities on their shopping tours.

Another amazing shopping hot spot in New York is Madison Avenue. The busy road is located from 59th street to the 90's and offers some of the city´s best venues. High fashion shops and flagship stores of international top labels can be found here.

NoLita (North Little Italy) used to be the overpopulated home to thousands of European immigrants who came to New York searching for a better life in former times. Today the whole area located in Manhattan has become a popular shopping spot with dozens of mid-range boutiques and cute shops. 

New York´s Shopping Malls

Big Apple´s best-known department store is of course, Bloomingdale´s. The traditional shopping temple convinces with a countless number of shops and boutiques. You can find designer stuff here as well as mid-range stores. Situated on New York´s Upper East Side Bloomingdale´s is in walking distance to all of the city´s most interesting sightseeing highlights and important tourist magnets.

Queens Place Mall is the most visited and popular mall situated in the borough of Queens. The massive place is home to huge stores and generally less expensive than Manhattan’s malls. Big Apple´s most modern and also newest mall is called Westfield World Trade Center and located at the World Trade Center complex in Manhattan. The luxurious mall is home to New York´s most expensive shops. The complex was opened in 2016 and has become a real visitor magnet. The interior design is very futuristic and stylish.

Only a short walk away from The Empire State Building you can find Manhattan Mall. This place belongs to the city´s smaller malls and is connected to a subway station which guarantees an easy access. 

New York´s Markets 

The Broadway Cares Flea Market located directly in the theater district close to Times Square is an absolute highlight and a must-do for every musical fan. Here you can buy real artifacts from original Broadway shows and rare theater treasures. The market is a nonprofit event which supports HIV organizations. Musical lovers from all over the world come here to bargain for their favorite pieces and souvenirs.

A visit to Chinatown belongs to every New York trip. New York´s Chinatown is the biggest in the world and surprises with hundreds of stalls and funny shops. Hell´s Kitchen Flea Market takes place in an old fabric building and convinces with its special charm and rough ambient. It´s the perfect place to get souvenirs and lovely junk.
